3D Print Your Favourite Pokémon or Other Character is a 3D printing after school program in North Delta where kids ages 7 – 14 will design and print their dream character from scratch. No kits, no templates — just their imagination and the tools to make it real.








Does your child have a favourite Pokémon, K Pop Demon Hunter, or video game character they wish they could hold in their hands? Now they can. In this hands-on program, kids design their dream character from scratch using real 3D design software. No kits, no templates — just their imagination and the tools to make it real. Throughout the program, participants will:
- Design an original character or figure entirely from scratch using TinkerCAD, the same type of software used by real engineers and product designers
- Learn core design principles — shape, proportion, symmetry, and structure — by applying them directly to something they actually care about
- Troubleshoot and refine their designs across sessions, learning to problem-solve like a real maker
- Take on fun themed mini-challenges, like recreating a signature Pokémon feature or designing a custom accessory for their character
- Learn simple finishing techniques to give their print a polished, professional look
- Design, print, and take home a custom keychain and figurine of their very own creation

At Young Innovators, we take instructor quality seriously.
Every instructor is certified in First Aid and has passed a criminal background check.
They also bring real-world experience in STEM fields and previous experience working with kids.
Our programs align with the Applied Design, Skills and Technologies Curriculum (ADST) certified by the B.C. government.
This curriculum encourages students to reflect on ‘Why?’ questions when making decisions, while promoting creativity and critical thinking skills.
Our curriculum also caters to multiple learning styles, including auditory, visual, and hands-on approaches.
At Young Innovators, we run intentionally small class sizes with an instructor-to-child ratio of 1:8, so every child gets real attention and the support they need.
No, the courses do not have to be taken in any particular order. This allows students to sample different topics they’re interested in more deeply.
