This free project aims to inspire and ignite a lasting interest in STEM among young girls, addressing the gender gap. We had the opportunity to collaborate with a community member who had received a grant. We volunteered to conduct a carefully designed free workshop sessions focused on robotics and engineering, we seek to foster enthusiasm, eliminate barriers, and empower girls to envision themselves as pivotal contributors to the multifaceted world of STEM.
The free introductory workshop introduces essential principles through practical experiments, captivating activities, and discussions. Its objective is to dispel misunderstandings and encourage young girls to see themselves as integral participants in the inventive domains of robotics and engineering.
This free project creates a safe, encouraging, and empowering environment for girls to learn, experiment, and thrive in robotics and engineering. By providing tools, inspiration, and ongoing mentorship, we empower these young girls to pursue their interests and careers in these critical and innovative fields, contributing to a more balanced representation of genders within robotics and engineering. Collaborating with the fantastic people involved in this project was an honour.
